Yes. You can specify on the volunteer form the area you’d like to help with; however, it can happen that we have too many volunteers in the area you choose, so you may be asked to help in another way. Please try to be flexible. There are some functions of shelter work that do require a special skill or mind set; if you are placed in one of these areas and are not comfortable with the requirements of that task, notify the team leader and they will find another area for you. For the welfare of the residents and the volunteers it is important that you are comfortable in the service you will be providing.
