No. None of the eight basic functions of a shelter require specialized training for the volunteers. Basically, when you show up for your shift you are given instructions on what to do. We call it “on-the-job-training”! However if you’d like to be a Shelter Leader of one of the eight functions, then you would attend a once-a-year training session.
